Wilde Nuts. Born in Denmark. Developed in California. Honed in Stratford-upon-Avon.

Hi, my name’s Mai.  Welcome to Wilde Nuts.

Wilde Nuts exists for one reason: to provide you with great tasting, nut-based products that give you high quality nutrition without compromising on quality or flavour.

It’s that one thing that’s driven me, and our Team here at Wilde Nuts, since we started back in 2016.

Before I started Wilde Nuts, I was involved in a multi-million dollar company in California that bought and sold nuts.

I was actually born in Denmark, but after university I took the leap AND headed out to the U.S., where I launched that first nut business.

After some blood, sweat and tears, it ended up being massively successful – we shipped nuts all over the world.

It was fantastic, at least for a time.  We were pioneers, jet setting all over the world, doing huge deals with big multi-national corporations.

I don’t regret it for a second.  But after many successful years, years that no doubt shaped my worldview, I knew I had to move on.

Something was missing.

We were shifting huge volumes of raw nuts, and although it was lucrative, it was a far cry from where my true passion and values lie.

I’ve always cared deeply about wholesome raw foods that actually taste good, and about helping others to achieve true ‘balance’ in their nutrition, and I knew that ultimately, that’s where I needed to focus my time.

So I left.

I sold my interest in that business, and launched Wilde Nuts in Stratford-upon-Avon.

I knew that with a smaller operation I’d be much more able to impact peoples’ lives by focusing on the quality of the product and the health benefits that arose from it.

And during those first few months, as I saw what else was available in the health food” arena, I realised even more acutely that the world desperately needed what I had to offer.

If you care about the things that you put into your body and are supposed to nourish you, then the chances are you’re pretty familiar with this whole ‘health food’ industry.

The trouble is, a lot of what you’re told is healthy is anything but.

Granolas, oat-based products and breakfast cereals containing huge amounts of refined sugars.

Protein bars and biscuits held together with oils, gum and goodness knows what else.

“Snacking” nuts, flavoured with a list of unpronounceable ingredients and literally glued into place.

Fad diets sold with buzz words that are here today and gone tomorrow.

I decided that something needed to be done.

I set out to provide an alternative for the health-conscious consumer that was natural and did actually taste great.

I’d worked with nuts for three decades at that point, which meant that I knew better than most that they contain unique properties that make them the ideal choice for the person who cares about what they put into their bodies.

I got to work, and together with an expert raw food chef, began concocting delicious raw granolas, beautiful nut butters and an assortment of gourmet nuts from our purpose built Nut Roastery in Stratford-upon-Avon and kitchen in Rotterdam.

People loved them as much as we did, and – well – the rest is history.

Today, our products are stocked in independent shops, delis, food halls and organic supermarkets all over the UK and Ireland, and we also send them out direct from our premises in Stratford-upon-Avon; literally 27 yards from Shakespeare’s birthplace!

Our commitment and focus hasn’t changed one iota.

We’ll continue to provide great-tasting nut products to people who care about what goes into their bodies for as long as they want us to.

We’ll stay true to our core, staying real, staying fun and staying “wilde”.

We chose “wilde” BECAUSE it sums up how we try to do everything.

Natural.  No nonsense.  Raw.  Wholesome.  In touch with the earth.
